Great shot, but anyone with a spider phobia is going have a serious problem with this! Thank You and congrats on the DD.

I have a minor spider phobia, as long as I don't have to hold one I think they're cool.

Tremendous amount of detail! May I ask which camera and settings you use? Mind to give me the exif data? I hope it's not pesky to ask.

Its fine I actually thought the info would be on it but for some reason its not. Anyway, the camera was a Canon 5dmk2 with the mp-e65mm, I used 2 small softboxes for lighting with a couple cheap flashes and since this is a stacked shot a cheap ebay rail (It was a 37 image stack). Settings wise, 1/200sec, ISO 200 and f/5.6. Hope this helps.

One night when I was ten, a very large, very hairy wolf spider crawled out from under my bed and disappeared into my closet. I had to sleep on the couch that night. XD Nevertheless, this picture is quite impressive!

Thank you For me it was centipedes. When I was about the same age I picked one up whilst collecting insects in a crisp packet (dont ask why lol). It bit onto my finger and wouldnt let go for what seemed a long time. After that I had a fear of them until just a couple years back where I bought some large ones to get over my phobia. Now Im fine with them and deal with some of the biggest in the world most days

Harmless?? Why the spikes coming out of it everywhere and more eyes looking everywhere at once than the population of London??? A fluffy bunny is harmless.... this is the Ghengis Khan of the organic kingdom

I dont know about that lol Ive never been bitten by a spider and I keep over a 100 tarantulas and deal with them daily. I have had a rabbit bite though and I can tell you it bloody hurts lol Id take a small spider bite over that any day.

Amazing shot, even if wolf spiders scare the crap out of me (I like tarantulas. I like jumping spiders. But wolf spiders.... just.... AHHHHHH! GET IT AWAY!)

Thank you, I used to be the same, loved tarantulas and jumpers but not much else. After spending time around them though it changes how you think.

Maybe if they didn't turn up in my room in the middle of the night (and they're easily the biggest spiders you can find where I live, I think the big wolf's here are around 2-3" across including legs) with no way to have easily gotten in, I'd be less creeped out by them.
