***EDIT: Added a 'forward dive' to the start of the 'roll' ***Run + Jump +slide/roll animation sequence for 'Cora', the second playable character in the iPhone game I'm working on, titled 'Project RUN'.

How dos it look like in a small screen like the iPhone one? Or is it going to be this size (close up view)?

It will be much smaller than this. It looks good running in the game though. The backgrounds and obstacles aren't pixel art, so it is good that the characters and to big or they would clash. You can see an example here if you like: [link]

That should work^^ If it doesn't, try drawing a roll motion like we see on parkour videos. I guess the illusion happens because we think she will fall back when she is preparing to roll.

That's a good point. She kind of leans back a bit at the start of the roll. Maybe she should dive forward so there is no illusion... Thanks for the heads up!

Well, Super Mario All-Stars is as enjoyable to me as it was back then in 1993, when i first had it (and still does) on my Super NES.
