Latest large scale painting in college. I decided to explore some of the imagery of biology.
I feel that diagrams will only show you one way of looking at the subject matter and don't seem to tell you anything different. This painting is supposed to show what biology COULD be, not completely what it is. Science sometimes seems very cold and tries to dissociate feelings of the subject matter away from what it actually is, does and represents.
When I did this, I had abit of fun. Its not a serious work, but I like looking back on this piece and liking the experimental nature of the compositon. The contrast of line, text and colour still draws my eye in a year later.
