Very nice, I think this is fantastic. It gives me an image of a possessed corpse. Good job!
I'm also wondering if I could post this on a forum called Magic Set Editor for people to design cards for. Nothing would be altered, and you would be given full credit. If so, thanks a lot! If not, I enjoyed the artwork anyway.

Amazing how much love you spent on the details! I experiment with Corel painter X at the moment too, but there are so many brushes, that I'm lost between it. I'm not sure which brush I should use for metal, flesh, hair, glass etc.
I'd appreciate it, if you could give me some beginner tips.
(my favourite style are armors and robots.)

Hello there my friend.First of all I wanna thank you for the watch, favorite as well you nice comment on my work.I really appreciate this!To be honest Im not so evolved with Painter X yet and I mostly use photoshop for my texture works and brushes.Usually I work in painter when I want to give a more "traditional" feeling in my works and make them look more like oily and abstract. For that result I base my rendering on using painters blenders and pallets knives.Although they might not give you the desired result you will get a very smooth and fine looking rendering on your works. So mostly, when I do my basic paints in Photoshop I then import them to painter to modify them using those blenders.
Lets see about photoshop tips, truly,It may sound strange but I use much limited variety of brushes to create my works. You can easily start making your basic drawings with a soft opacity and flow brush and then as you would be moving along and adding over details to make them look more sharper you use a round brush in strong opacity and flow, without having it as dynamics edges or fading points. My best suggestion to you about creating those surfaces you wish for the mentioned subjects is not only to use the customized plug in brushes that photoshop comes with but also some texture layers. This is how i mostly create my textures,by adding over each surface the analog texture layer, for example if I need for skin I would use some photo of real life skin set in overlay over my painting and just erase the areas that I dont need.Same goes for metal, hair, although for hair you can use the real bristle brushes in painter that create this effect at once.
I would suggest you gather as many photos you can find of texture surfaces and merge them in your works and play around to see what you can come up.Setting the texture layer in overly or multiply mode always on top and in low opacity will give you the desired result. One other trick is ,after doing that ,to get a sharp and high opacity brush and actually draw over those surfaces you have your texture layers on,your own detail designs,by either following the texture pattern or using your own. This can work great.
I hope I helped a little, feel free to ask me about any questions.
Kind regards
Manthos

Wow! thank you a lot. I appreciate, that you really take your time, when you answer questions. I think I will shoot Tons of photos now. I experimented with a rusty gate and on a low opacity it looks like brunt and cracked skin. I think I'll work onn that first, because I struggle at creating textures with the normal brushes.
I may upload my first results in my vacations (two more days at work and then... WEEE!!!)
-yours christian

Dude, amazing artwork. Would this by any chance be going in your script and character designs? Cos I'd love to see a quick sketch of your character Jeff and this creature scrapping it out keep it up!

Hi there man, thank you again for the nice comment.I would love to have it included somehow in the script but as long is Ben Clayton's project I just go with his demands and what he thinks is properly for the story .Im about thought to have some similar zombie concepts which probably remind this creature. Be sure that there gonna be some nasty encounter between Jeff and zombies and hopefully we are gonna give you all a sneak preview of the script's storyboards!
