Hi there! Thank you, glad you like it! there was a very basic concept idea where the King and Queen were special kind of entities and only few of their kind remained in the world and humans would praise and follow them. The original idea was that the Queen was not really dead but mostly in some kind of coma state and the King and his best warriors would set out to the world to locate a magical, mystical place where has the cure for her state and along their adventure ,would face all sorts of threats. Yeah... haha, very basic, sorry if disappoint! Would love to hear ideas of what that image brings to mind!

While basic, it is still a very interesting concept to play with, is the Coma perhaps induced by age? Or is it a disease the royal entities fall prey too naturally and hence why they are slowly going extinct? So many avenues to explore with that concept. xD
Either way this image brought to mind for me at least either a very ritualistic burial, or a Necromatic ritual; I mean the queen being dead doesn't have to mean she's out for the count.
Great work and keep imagining stories; too many artworks these days lack the simple background of a story and yours is very refreshing!
