My submission for Equestria Daily's Artist Training Grounds, Day 4. The prompt was "draw a pony shrinking back/draw a pony growing up".Was a bit strapped for time so I didn't polish and refine the lineart in the way I usually do. I still think it came out okay, though!
EDIT (09/10/15): Improved the lineart and made some minor adjustments and fixes.

Lyra, the Canterlot pony who went to school with ol' sparklebutt. You'd think she'd be more refined.
Which is why I just love the idea of her not having much in the way of manners. I've always sorta headcanoned that she's in Ponyville because she's the black sheep of the family and not a good fit with the bluebloods.

I'm definitely with you on that one! I've always imagined her as having some tomboyish traits (though she'd still have some feminine tendencies, hence why we still see her wearing dresses and such).
