Honestly these designs are great.
- Color palette is well chosen as earth tones and red are iconic with native american culture.
- The tribal look is gently added throughout the three of them and how you distributed them is wonderfully presented. The placement of the cute little feather on the first stage really gives the native american feel in a concise form. The second form follows with just a minor change which is good due to the body development. Then the final stage sports a chieftain headdress.
- Just a question also what words did you use to come up with the names.
- Also have you thought about making them a Flying / fighting type?
As for improvements
- The second stage resembles the pigeotto to just the color pallet and lower body. It is probably just nostalgia kicking in. Maybe do something add a color to the wings or body? I don't know.
- The foot development is on point except for the last stage where he only has two toes in the front as apposed to three. Don't really see why that is.
- Something about the transition in color on the heads between the first and second stage seems a bit too drastic.
= I think the first issue I am seeing is how the face features transition between the stages. The nose strip is completely different from the final stage. I suggest a subtler transition between the stages. The roundness of the finals stages face is lost due to the tan plumage on his brow. It you take that away make the area red then reestablish the bridge but with black then have it come up to form a semicircle at the top it makes his face look round again. Also to complete it the tan under its beak coming up rounded to his outer eye corners. For the second stage you could reinforce the transition to that red plumage by give him a tri brown plumage.
=As for the head I understand hawk being in the name however you got an owl thing started already and straying away from the rounded head is a bit uncharacteristic of the set. The wings and the leg development already suggests it. So the beefed up neck on the last stage is a bit much.
*Great job on these three. Keep up the good work*
