Hello People,Orchid from Killer Instinct, drawn in June this year. I was waiting for the perfect moment to upload the picture until I saw the folks from [link] calling for entries to the Killer Instinct Tribute.
About the art, firstly I’d like to thank :TakagiNaoSama: for the reference. Am loving the way my art is progressing so far. Rare has influenced me a lot through my career path and I’ve greatly form their character design over the years.
Drawn on a sheet of A4 plain paper using a 3H pencil then scanned into Photoshop CS4.
Okay I just had to say this, please feel free to comment and critique that’s why am on DA or CG Talk or Behance.

When I saw the thumbnail, I was also thinking that this was just a re-upload of her cosplay (probably the best Orchid cosplay out there to date - and trust me I've seen every single one on the net).
Then I saw that it was art and I'm stunned. I love what has been done to her face as well as the smart adjustments to the holes on the side of her costume. The shine is perfect and stays true to the trademark shiny green latex/pvc that Orchid wears.
The one criticism I have is that it stays too true to the reference picture. The gold trim in the cosplay never really sat well with me but since I have no idea how difficult it is to make these things, who am I to judge. The cosplayer is limited to what she can physically purchase and assemble, you are not. With the amazing job you did on the face here, I would love to have seen you inject a few more creative touches like that in the rest of the picture i.e. a proper zip and a gold trim that was true to the original costume. Just some thoughts, none of which take away from a beautiful piece of art on a unique gamebabe. I hope you draw her again sometime.

Thanks very much for liking my version. Yes I agree with you I should have added my own flavour, but I chose not to because I was merely copying the original to learn a few things which I did.
