I'm also loving the simplistic feel of the bushes in the background, since they're of course so simple, yet show a depth and blur effect for the background, putting even more emphasis on Jeremiah and Corentin. BRAVO!

Bloody fantastic job on this Manu-chann! No worries for not getting an angle that would show Jeremiah's awesome bionics or a more dynamic pose/angle mix. But you still did very well with catching the feel of the piece.
I really like the shading effect you gave his chainmail lining, makes the scene seem more epic and Jeremiah more knightly [even though he's more of an anti-hero XD]. The lighting in the piece is an excellent example of how lighting and shading in a pic doesn't necessarily need to reflect the mood and feel of the piece. A battle or assassination attempt doesn't always occur on a stormy or rainy day, for example. So bonus kudos for you in breaking the apparent mold. ^_^
For some bizarre reason, Jeremiah's bionic katar doesn't pop out in the piece at first glance. This isn't a bad thing though, since it's meant as a subtle melee weapon, so that works in it's favour and adds to it's effect in the piece. I was concerned at first that the katar blade seemed to sprout from the back of Jeremiah's hand rather than his wrist (or at least the joint where his hand meets his wrist), but I remembered that it could sort of do that in the show and that both of his arms are bionic-ish (I think). So it's a moot point.
Well done on the expressions, Jeremiah's determination and poor little Corentin's fear. Definitely caught the feel of the piece in that aspect. The sparks from the ricocheting bullets are a wonderful addition. I'd originally thought of the bullets being robbed of kinetic force by a device in the cape and tumbling as if simply dropped, but the ricochets add to the action-feel of the pic, so good job!
Thanks again for your awesomeness! ^_^

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you liked the piece overall, and next time I'll try with a more dynamic pose!
And I know what you mean about his katar blade, I had to look for some reference to see where it came from XD Again, thank you
