Not quite armour he designed - if Games Workshop has anything to say about it. XP

I must admit that I'm VERY interested to see you drawing Warhammer 40k armour, given the usual penchant for detail and ornamentation such outfits often have. It's a good try on the Marine Power Armour - though it could be wider to traditionally fit Space Marine muscled manly girth. The breastplate could be bigger and taller to better cover the stomach and reduce the exposure of the Mark III power cables that era of armour traditionally had. Same does for the armour on the upper arms, which would traditionally cover more and leave less cabling exposed.

You did VERY well with the Eldar Rune Armour.

Sorry for all the nerd talk.

Oh dear, I feel so ignorant

To be honest, I don't know much about armour in general, much less about Warhammer 40k. I should do a bit of research about it.

I really appreciate your feedback though! Now that you mentioned those details, I think the mistakes in the armour (such as the short breastplate) could be my own errors while using the reference given by the commissioner. I probably paid more attention to the overall look than to the actual usefulness in batte when adapting the design to my style.

You can see the original design here: pbs.twimg.com/media/CE8BflSWoA…

As you can see, in the original the armour is wider and less stomach is exposed

I guess I'll do a little more research the next time I have to draw an armour

Thanks again for your comment! It's always nice to hear your opinions, and since you pay a lot of attention to detail, they're very helpful.

And I don't consider it nerd talk at all. I really admire people who are passionate about what they like

Meh, it's fine. I'm just being cheeky and giving you a hard time.

The armour design issues can stem from a mix of both your efforts and EX388 - with all due respect to you guys of course, the reference provided is a good start but would need to cover other angles on the suit as well as alternating styles to give you the best visual reference range. This is why I try to provide a mish-mash of various references and sources whenever I commission something. Does one pic style not mesh well with your vision of it? Then there's others to choose from. XD

Again with respect to EX388, did he provide references of official Power Armour to assist you? vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/w… www.forgeworld.co.uk/Images/Pr…

Still, points for trying. XP You did very well in the final product actually.

Not really, that's the only reference I had.
Of course, I didn't ask for any other reference (I didn't know the armour was based on an already existing armour ) so I'm responsible as well.

Thank you

Glad you like it too man, and the power armor in question is in relation to a cross-over story that I might be re-doing now that I've gotten back into 40K, thanks to me playing Space Marine, Soulstorm, and Winter Assault.

Have you ever played the tabletop game or read the books?
