The original author of the story told me he's no longer interested in commissioning new pages, but there is another commissioner who may still do so in the future.

I'm being commissioned to draw it, so as long as the client is interested I'll keep adapting it.
But it all depends on the commissioner's intentions, budget and interest.

I know because I was the one to convince him to try getting his story adapted in manga format, and he personally told me that he is withdrawing from commissioning any further manga pages due to losing interest in the RWBY fandom.
It is a true shame. However, if you or others wished to commission additional artwork, you can always attempt that. You'd have to get his permission, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you asked.
