This is a commission forHere we have Ruby Rose from RWBY, along with her Crystal Grimm Velociraptor: Night Raptor
When the commissioner mentioned the concept of a Grimm whose bone armor is instead made of crystal I thought it was a neat idea.

This art style is beautiful!
And the whole "companion" concept idea is actually an incredibly interesting concept that I've always thought about: Grimm being tameable. I mean, most Grimm are technically animals, so maybe they can be domesticated.
Also, I love that Ruby has a Raptor Grimm, and I can see It being like Blue from Jurassic World.
This whole thing is an amazing piece of work.

Well. I have an OC RWBY team fanfiction I have to write in the near future so I was wondering if I can use your crystal grimms as a new type of Grimm nobody ever seen before. The Grimm get the armor by eating raw dust crystals but these kinds of Grimm are really rare but very hard to find. And they are weak to the opposite dust type of their armor.

funfact, the large raptors from Jurassic park and most other media r based of a type of raptor who used to have "velcoraptor" as part of it's scientific name, but now a days is no longer known as such, so when people compare them to the real life animal they r usually if not always compareing it to the wrong kind of raptor XD

Yeah, the official raptor from Jurassic Park is actually a Northamerican Deinonychus. That think was as big as a human and his toe claw was much larger compared to other raptors.
Velociraptor was just a small predator: only about 6 feet in lengh. :-P

Another look at this, and I still find this so cool. Seriously, your rendition of Ruby is great, but her paired with a Raptor Grimm was just excellent. I can somehow imagine this Grimm being like the Jurassic World Raptor Blue and her relationship to Owen Grady. This is just incredible.

No problem. This genuinely IS a fantastic image. I know you got the ideas from , but who knows, maybe someone could explain the origins of thes Crystal Grimm. And while I'm not commisisoning anything yet, I do have a suggestion, maybe add in other images for Blake and Yang, with Blake's possibly being a panther, and Yang's being a bear, a kangaroo, or even a dragon. Just for possible ideas.
If you're ok, maybe I can find someone to work on this idea together and expand on the possibilities.

This would actually make a great AU fanfiction in which a Hunter has a unique Grimm that has suprisingly developed sentience and bonds mind and soul with them and when that happens, the bone turns crystal. Can't wait to see what Team JNPR's and the other characters special Grimms are.
