Summary of the story:
Life has never been normal for Narukami Rei. When she arrived at Inaba, she had hoped that she could finally have the quiet, easy life she always desired. She soon found out that she was wrong. Within Inaba lies a mystery and adventure that Rei will never forget. For better or worse, Rei's life will never be the same.

My question would be how does an elementary school kid (how old are they?) know how to do a rear naked choke?

That probably raises more questions than it answers, such as "what kind of family allows their kid to watch that thing?" or if those were meant to be kid friendly, "Who designs those fight scenes?" Oh well, it's a fanfic so I don't imagine there's room for a minor character anthology story.

Maybe he watches anime. The parents thought it was kid-friendly because of the prejudice towards animation, and the poor kid ended up watching Ghost in Shell, Akira and Cowboy Bebop as if those were saturday morning cartoons.
