Chris stopped holding his breath once the banging stopped. He then turned to the butterfly newcomer rather concerned, "What was that?!"
Miss P frowned folding her hands in front of her, "Sadly, a doll like me who for whatever reason is working with a new Blue Fairy to capture everyone in the dorm and turn them into her dolls."
Jessie 'scratched' her head as good as she could with a squishy mitt, "I recognize your voice, is that you Billie?"
Miss P gasped placing both hands over her mouth, "Jessie?"
The Jill-From-The-Box beamed as she sprang into the air. She was already rather animated; now having springs just made her move less like a person and more like an animated character, "The one and only!~ "
Miss P lowered her hands and smiled, relieved at the familiar face, "You look good."
"So do you! Your wings are so beautiful!" Jessie replied marveling at them.
"Thanks, your new self is completely becoming of you. I like the colors." Miss P giggled then crossed her arms in deep thought. "This has gone far beyond what I had imagined. We need to stop the Blue Fairy before she causes more mayhem. Can you imagine if she left the dorm and started zapping the rest of the campus? Or the town?"
Chris nodded the image of a literal Toyland sticking in his mind, "We can't let that happen. We need a way to-"
Jessie squeaked trying to get their attention holding up her hand as straight as she could, but it was unsteady because of the spring in her arm. Miss P rolled her eyes playfully and pointed a mitt to the Joyful Jester, "Yes, Jessie."
"The blue fairy that changed us was not mean, what happened?" She asked in the manner of a first grader.
Miss P frowned which was most unbecoming, “There is a new Blue Fairy named Trixie who is abusing her powers."
"Oh… I remember Trixie. She is a mean RA no one wants." Jessie said with the spite of experience.
"Yeah, never thought this would happen. Can you guys help me?" Miss P pleaded.
Jessie jumped six feet in the air, "Sure!"
Miss P looked to Chris. "And you? You are not a toy, but can you help us?"
Chris hesitated some. Jessie placed her mitts on his shoulder and looked to him with puppy dog eyes, "Chris… please..."
"Well what guarantee do I have that I won't be toyed like you two? For all I know, I'll go in and end up looking like something from a Christmas parade!" Chris said glancing from one to the other.
"Are you Jessie's owner?" Miss P said extending her arm inquisitively.
"Yes." Chris answered.
Miss P shook her head, "Then the magic will not affect you. It'll be dangerous, but you don't have to worry about becoming a toy."
Chris then stood a little straighter, “Let’s go see what we could do.”
Thus, Chris and the two dolls ventured out of the castle's safety. The hallways were abandoned and quiet so the thee proceeded with as much subterfuge as they could. Chris led the way, Miss P followed him, and Jessie brought up the rear.
"Trixie will undoubtedly be expecting us." Miss P whispered.
"Well, what'll we do then?" Chris whispered back.
"Expect the worst from her. Really, we shouldn't be surprised." The butterfly replied.
Suddenly, they heard something behind them. Chris turned his sword drawn, Miss P balled her fists, and Jessie took up a mock kung-fu stance. They were ready for anything but what came into view. Two dolls who looked like they could have been girls but with the gender neutrality of toys is it was hard to tell. They were identical from their English school boy uniforms to their brown hair into bobs and plastic, bendy joints that permitted contortionist flexibility.
The three champions was balked at the sight. The two newcomers smiled as they spoke with faux British accents speaking rhythmically.
"Look at what we got here sibling of mine it’s the same every time." One said mischievously.
"Toys walking 'round the hallway and not an owner near the by." The other giggled as they spoke in alternation.
"Sad indeed what a sight to see maybe we should set them free."
"Who are you?" Jessie asked with earnest curiosity.
"Dum!" The one on the left exclaimed crossing her arms.
"Dee!" The one on the right mirrored her twin.
"We work for Trixie..."
"… she says to put you in a fixie." The other one finished the sentence.
"That's not a word!" Mrs. P shouted shaking her finger authoritatively.
"Who cares?!" Dum and Dee replied in unison. They leapt at the heroes twisting in the air feet raised for a kick.
Jessie somersaulted back gracefully while Miss P grabbed Chris and fluttered out of the way. The twins landed without hitting anything. When Miss P landed again, Chris pushed her back to place himself between the friendly toys and the antagonistic ones.
"Curses! That's not fair!" They said in unison disgruntled with matching facial expressions, "Well, it's not all bad. We have accomplished our task."
The unnerved Chris drew his sword, "Stop with the 'Play with us forever and ever' crap okay."
The two eyed it with keen interest, "Ooo, nice sword. May we play with it?"
Chris felt a chill run down his spine as he raised the blade defensively, "No, you can't."
The twins crossed their arms and pouted like brats. They stuck their tongues out, then turned to run like tattle-tales, "Bad form! when we can play with you proper we will remember that."
Miss P rubbed her forehead, "Great, more toys that don't like us."
"Wait? Didn't you mention that there were others who could help us?" Chris asked sheathing his sword.
Miss P nodded but with a sorrowful frown, ."Sure, but they are in a cage sealed tight or worse."
Chris looked down to his blade, "I want to try something..."

They entered the lobby at the top of the hour so Annabelle had started her routine. Jessie and Chris marveled at the intricate cuckoo clock and the large wooden cage. Inside was a stage housing a Peter Pan marionette and an owner dressed as a pirate. They were huddled together. She saw the dolls not under Trixie’s thumb and beamed especially when she saw Chris’ sword, “Good to see you again Jessie! Ooooo you found the sword…”
“You knew of this sword?” Chris asked with curiosity.
Annabelle shook her head in tune with her steps, “No, I did not knowingly create it. I have, however, heard of blue fairies sometimes creating something that can undo their own magic. It cannot undo toys or their bonds with owners, but it can work against things that have been affected by the magic. I suppose wands have a sense of fair play, mine had quite the cheeky humor. I could not tell you why. Although, if you would be so kind as to help those two out.”
She managed to point towards a wooden cage. Chris drew the dull toy blade and examined it again. It could not be more mundane. He raised his sword and expected the worst, but to his shock, the blade sliced through the cage tearing through the wand’s magic like a can in a can-opener! Alicia and Ryan rose hand in hand happy to be free. However, they looked to their rescuers solemnly.
The pirate sighed, “Thanks for helping us, but I don’t know if I could do anything in return.”
"Yeah, I cannot move from this stage.” The marionette said with her painted on eyes looking to the others. They were not as uncanny valley as Chris would have imaged. In fact, they were wide and innocent like a Disney or anime character’s eyes. Because she was now a toy, it was a fitting look.
"Wait~" Annabelle sang out as she danced, "I forgot to mention something lovely puppet!"
"What?" Alicia asked a bit irked that important information was withheld.
"You can move as long as you are touching your owner." Annabelle replied cheerily.
Alicia glanced to the happy Ryan stunned, then back to the former fairy, "Why didn't you mention this before?"
"You didn't have an owner, I was made a cuckoo clock, and then last few times I was out you were asleep. Somewhere in there I missed the chance." Anabelle winked both from self-amusement as her dance ended. The dancer cleared her throat as she bowed, "Oh, and my beautiful butterfly one more thing."
Miss P turned, "What?"
The mechanisms pulled Annabelle backwards to the open door of her clock, "Save the wand."

A perpetual darkness encompassed Kim. It kept her feeling small and terrified. She crossed her arms as if trying to keep herself warm, but it was all she could do to shield herself from the shadows. In some ways, she was used to it by now. The consistency was cathartic in a way. She did want to be free though with room to fly around. The idleness is what was bugging her the most. She made a silent vow to never do this to a toy again. She heard noises outside, but the box lid muffled it too much for her to really know what was being said. All of that changed when the box lid opened. The darkness fled from the light that blinded Kim.
Kim took heart. Maybe she was being rescued! She was picked up from behind so much so that she could not see any glimpse of her savior, but she did get a full view of her surroundings. Kim gasped when she saw what Trixie's room had become while she was locked away. It was no longer a bland bedroom with an office space. Trixie used her power to expand her room a few rooms down annexing them so now her room was the size of three rooms. The walls were now painted sky blue and any décor was crystalline.
Kim saw an open music box with a ballerina girl that still looked human in one corner because her skin was not glimmering. She was sitting with her legs crossed and she sighed beyond bored. Standing in front of the door was an imposing figure that looked like a black chess piece came to life. The silent sentry was clearly female and an intimidating, knightly figure. She stood watch over the door likely not permitting anyone who was not welcome past her.
Before Kim noticed any other details, her holder spun her around so that she could see it. Kim looked up to see the cute and cuddly black furred face of a… giant plush kangaroo? Wait… if she was this small, that means that the kangaroo would have to be human sized! No, beyond human sized! It looked like a person could fit in its pouch up to their chest.
The kangaroo observed her quietly her stitched on smile never faded. Kim gawked as the kangaroo then stuffed her into her pillow soft pouch. Darkness consumed her again.
At least this prison was softer.

This whole situation, by the way, reminds me of the Doll of the Damned house at Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights.

Well...HHN is based off of movies, but they do have original content. For example, Dollhouse of the Damned is the story of a girl who transforms a morgue into a dollhouse, and the dolls come alive, turning people into dolls.

There's one room that you walk through, it's full of baby toys and cribs, and there is the smell of baby powder.

Most likely one of those flipping puppy toys with a loving owner who delights in making me involuntarily perform tricks when I talk back to her!

Ah that's a creative one! ^^
I don't know which I would end up as personally. Probably a pirate toy. Reflected this a bit with the pirate/peter pan couple.

Great to see this chapter out!
I liked Jessie referred to in the narrative as the 'Jill From the Box'! Also, her jumping behavior and normally impossible movements making her seem like an animated character. She is so exuberant, I also liked how she questioned Billie/Miss P in tones and expression as if she were like a 1rst Grader. Plus her 'Kung Fu' stance and easily getting out of the way of the twins in the confrontation.
She also remembered Trixie, which, considering her wacky behavior even as a human, it is easy to imagine that she got in trouble with her earlier, and would recall that experience. She may well have been on Trixie's list as an RA.
Miss P had a moment of shyness when Jesse recognized her as Billie? Since she was the 'bookworm turned butterfly', I can imagine that she would have such moments, and also critique words being used as she did with the twins. Despite her gentle demeanor, she is now the opponent that is taking charge of fighting Trixie.
I liked how Chris was had some assertive action in getting between his friends and the twins. And of course in thinking of freeing the entrapped friends. Annabelle explaining, or at least knowing of the function and existence of the sword. The sword itself might have unconsciously directed Chris towards wanting to use it? The sword or a similar mechanism coming into play whenever a Blue Fairy abuses the wand in an overt way?
It's also possible that the magic itself rebounds itself against misuse? The wand doing what its meant to most of the time, but rebelling in some way that will put the Blue Fairy at risk? For example, Kim the Plane being the agent of unseating Annabelle in the first place? (One might wonder if Annabelle knows more about the sword than she's letting on, in that maybe it's appeared before to foil previous misuse of power?) And, of course, maybe Annabelle has been withholding some information, and maybe she hasn't. Her Cuckoo clock dance was pretty well done! I liked the line with her head shaking in time to her steps.
Alicia as 'Peter Pan' and Ryan as 'Hook' is amusing as well. I'm glad that you returned to them, also with her big eyes being anime like. The painted on thing was a bit creepy, somehow, the new description warms her toy form. There are now five characters able to actively move and oppose Trixie, now that it has been revealed that Ryan and Alicia can travel together.
Perhaps that same mechanism of the owner granting mobility is what allowed Jesse to leave her box?
Poor Kim makes for a good point of view of what is going on Trixie's side. Her tribulations of being in the dark toybox was interesting as it is a potentially indeterminable timeout from doing what a toy supposed to, while dull sounds of the outside can be heard. Her view of Sabrina the Knight Chesspiece also gives a new view of the character. She's now apparently clearly a woman, which was something I wondered might be hard to determine before. Earlier descriptions made her seem overly blocky and a bit abstract, strong and able to move about, but not well. Maybe Trixie was able to do some refinements as long as she doesn't change the essential and original toy state?
Cool that Trixie decided to give herself a bigger room! LoL I wonder if Sabrina is guarding the ViVi, the 'human ballerina girl' and Trixie's room? Probably a good idea with Miss P flitting about. Trixie was conspicuous in her absence, she's still wandering the halls and experimenting with the wand perhaps? Probably, Dum and Dee didn't make themselves...
You decided to go with a kangaroo for Trixie's extra toy it seems. A kangaroo with Dum and Dee make for a good active group of defenders complementing the strength of Sabrina. Both plushy size and speed and physical power! The kangaroo jumps, punches and can pummel opponents with her tail? Plus--the pouch serves as a mobile toybox for Trixie's toys when she's on the go. Being magic, the pouch might be able to hold far more than it might seem? A cool idea to use the kangaroo I didn't see that coming. That kangaroo can look through the dorm at high speed, capture victims, and haul them to Trixie a lot faster than what she was doing. Maybe a 'prequel' scene or paragraph could have the kangaroo doing just that to a victim? Or Dum and Dee in their human forms?
Trixie needs Kim now and sent 'Miss Roo' to get her? Why not--she can be a 'drone' spy for Trixie!
And, of course, it was fun to see Dum and Dee unveiled. They do seem more childish now from the get-go than the more stiff versions they were in the draft you sent me. I did perhaps like the draft's version of the twins running away better, although the sticking out of their tongues was a cute touch. Especially as one knows that it was done together!
The twins and the kangaroo do suggest that Trixie is figuring out what she's doing with the wand. As she seems to be a hands on gamer girl, I wouldn't expect anything less!
