Description
When the new Harelquine foal arrived, everyone was so excited. The only problem was he was born incredibly early, and was a spindly, weak little thing. His mother nearly died trying to give birth to him, and it took hours of careful work to bring the foal into the world. No one thought either of them would live, but they did. By the age of three weeks old, he was just about starting to look like a new born. At six weeks, they thought they could finally risk letting him out into the paddock with his mother, if only for an hour or so. They knew he could not be out for long because he still seemed so weak and fragile. Only two of the staff members were allowed near Priscilla's stall while she was looking after her foal, but everyone was at the fence when he got turned out with his mother for the first time. The early autumn sun was warm, the grass was green, and it did not take long for him to find his feet and gallop alongside his mother. His father, Glamour, was kept in a neighbouring field, but he still came to see his offspring, with curious ears and soft noises no one knew he could make. After meeting all the horses in the fields next door, the new colt took it upon himself to go adventuring. It was such an exciting place to be, full of noises and smells and moving things. His mother followed him lazily, keeping a close eye on him as she grazed nearby. He studied the fence over near the fishing lake, snuffling around in the long grass. It took him greatly by surprise when a fast little grey thing suddenly leaped out of the grass. The colt whinnied in surprise and ran away a few feet, before turning and staring at what had jumped out. It was small and furry and had big ears. It was watching him. He whickered lowly as he edged closely, reaching out his nose to take in the scent of this new creature. The creature proclaimed to be a rabbit, and asked why he looked so sad. The colt replied that he was not sad, in fact he was very happy. The rabbit decided that maybe he just looked sad all the time. The colt spent a long time, minutes in fact, talking to the rabbit, before he heard his mother calling to him from over near the gate. It looked like she was being fed, and she wanted him next to her so he could not get up to anything. He bid farewell to the rabbit and pranced up the field, his father trotting along slowly next to him along the fence in the other field. He could just get used to this being alive thing.

A small leap to the future, or maybe it's the present. I'm still catching up with myself. Anyway, ignore the green trees in the background that should be going orange, let's just say it was unseasonably warm >.> I thought horse gestation was shorter than it was, so thought maybe she'd birth late summer, when in fact it should have autumn. But he was early >.> and it was warm... yeah... >.> I'll be more seasonably accurate next time, I promise.
No Stealing Thank You

Yeah Glamour likes him quite a lot I think it's because he can be quite a bit like his dad.

He's so cute I love his markings, I guess the rabbit is referring to the turned down marking on his face
