Who am I to know,
Where the rain lays it head,
To rest on sunny days

All I know of rain,
Is the softness of its kiss,
Caressing my lonely cheek.

It’s warm embrace,
On my fair, bare skin,
On lovely summer evenings.

The rhythm to its song,
That it taps out so elegantly,
For me and my love to dance to.

How it makes the grass greener,
Beautiful and vibrant,
On glowing days of spring.

That it glorifies the leaves,
Drenching them with luster,
Pulling them gently to the ground.

It teases us in winter,
Taunting that it may freeze or flake,
Yet always retaining it’s dewy form.

The promise it keeps,
When it waltzes with the sun,
Leaving a trail of color overhead.

All I know of rain,
Is the passion it pours down,
The tear drops of angels on high.
