Description Waking worn eyes up to another day,
Stumbling out of a large cozy bed,
I fall the down stairs in utter dismay,
For my dreary school awaits me yet.

Out the window I quickly glance,
To see nothing of sun nor earth,
For in the darkness of early hours,
The only lightness is the sparkle,
Of the shimmering snow softly falling.

Suddenly all schools are closed,
So I throw on my boots, and grab my coat,
Although I’m tired and the bed is warm,
I trade its blankets for another…
These lovely wintry blankets of snow.

I pull my puppy out in the cold,
To share with her the first snowfall,
She sniffs the air and licks the frost,
Then looks around somewhat lost,
Soon mesmerized she run and plays,
Enjoying the new and exciting day.

The sun starts to rise on this white sea,
All earthly creations are soon out of sight,
The flakes pile, each so unique,
And together create one beautiful sheet,
Of the most Heavenly dancing floor.

Come dear friends, will you dance with me,
And together we can always be,
Snow angels of a beautiful morn,
And we can twirl up a storm,
In a most graceful, wintry trance.
