Halfpaw grabbed Fawnkit and made a run for it. It was raining hard on her pelt. The flooding was a crazy madness of cats. Everywhere, someone was dashing with a kit, or guiding an Elder. Fawnkit lay on her back as she approached a large puddle. I can jump this... she thought I think... She lept up in the air. Splash, she landed in the middle of the puddle. Fawnkit panicked as Halfpaw flung her to Snowfall. "Snowfall! Catch!" Snowfall turned around and caught Fawnkit frantically. "Halfpaw!" He yowled at his struggling friend. He dropped Fawnkit on dry grass and swam out to Halfpaw as her head started coming underwater. Halfpaw closed her eyes, expecting to never see Snowfall again.Will she make it?
