Your animals are so great! I've been trying to draw animals a lot more recently. Do you know of any art books or tutorials that might be helpful? How did you learn?

I know your comment is from awhile ago, but I always draw animals and I might be able to help you. Well I've been drawing like almost everyday since first grade so it took me long time to draw characters without them looking silly (i'm still improving though, i'm definitely not the best). But one thing I do is look up pictures of the animal I want to draw if I never drew it before. I look at their movements, how they stand, and their body types. Once you've mastered that, you can make the animal as crazy as you want, give it horns, wings, powers. That's why I love drawing animals because you can make them so creative!

Well some of the many artists who inspire me are GinjaNinja, Nifty Senpai, Finchwing, and MapleSpyder. They are all so great at drawing the "correct" form of animals. All of them animate as well, which really helps me discover the movement of cats because I draw them a lot. I strive to draw as good as them. When I look at their old art, it's not nearly as good as their recent pieces. It's all about improvement. That's why I draw almost everyday to improve.

This is soooo pretty! Just stunningly so. You put so much work into the paws alone, it really shows here, even in the not-so-important but oh-so-irritating backgrounds we all have to draw. 
The scruffy fur around the neck looks so good, looks like you could lose sight of your fingers in his fur, and drawing fur that well can be so difficult. Awesome job! The only thing I noticed was in his left wing, the secondary layer of feathers looks like it was accidentally pushed to the side or something along those lines. They're bent a little strangely, but hey, it's barely even noticeable, and compared to the rest of the piece, it's just a trivial little thing.
I need to learn how to color fur like you! So freaking good!
