As promised, here's the redesigns for humble-abode 's characters! Nothing's extremely different, the biggest change is Joel's backstory, but it isn't anything that dramatically changes the whole comic:humble-abode decided to make him Polish. He was orphaned as a child and taken in by a Jewish immigrant family and given the name Joel. No one knew his birth name and he never had a Polish accent, so nobody knew he wasn't from New York. He became an older brother to their son, and the story is largely the same in regards to Joel's little brother

And that’s really meaningful to me! That was something I always strived for considering NYC is such a melting pot of different cultures! I wanted to include a lot of the major ones (Franco, Michele and their families being Italian, Peter being half Irish, etc.), but I wanted to have some of the lesser-known ones too.
