I came up with this visual metaphore about the fact that, sometimes in life, if you have a good hunch about something, you just have to take a chance, dive in and go deeper to appreciate and experiment what life really has to offer in all its fullness instead of just settling for a superficial glimpse of what it is or could have been.
(I don't think I drew this clear enough, but the girl is contemplating those flying fish when they briefly jump out the water instead of actually daring to dive in herself and watch the true but unknown wonder that lies just a dip away from her. That's why the boat is called "The Easy Way").

Love how the water is diagonal and not laying flat. Defies convention and conveys the motion of the ocean. Like the sun-dappled look and reflections on the boat. Most would draw one kind of fish, but this shows Nature's variety. Brilliant!

I can't believe I forgot to answer to this comment because it's probably one of the most elaborated ones I've ever received.

Thanks for noticing all that stuff and actually commenting on it!!

Glad you liked this so much

Funny, it took you half a year to reply. Glad you liked it. In your profile you say you are a fitness addict. I happen to be writing and self-illustrating a major fitness book with Greg LeMond, the legendary cyclist. The title is "The Science of Fitness: Power, Performance, and Endurance" by Greg LeMond and Mark Hom (me). It is already listed on Amazon.de as a pre-order item due for release at the end of the year. However, Amazon.com has uploaded book details such as peer reviews, a table of contents, and mini bios, so you should check it out there. The book cover is in my gallery.

Dr. Mark Hom, M.D.

What's funny is how I've been looking for such a book lately. I enjoy fitness/sports related literature a lot, specially if written from a scientific perspective. I find the way the human body works absolutely fascinating and how it can get to perform in such powerful and beautiful ways. And the fact that its not a static thing, but can be trained and molded to improve performance and looks. I'm actually a medical student and thinking about an specialization in sports medicine

Anyway, thanks a lot for the tip. I already found the book on amazon and my birthday's next month...
