My take on Azathoth, the Blind Idiot God. This is the closest I've come to imagining a physical shape for something that is supposed to be a more or less non-sentient mass of chaotic organic mass, but is still the thing keeping all of reality from collapsing, by the virtue of dreaming up everything that exists. My idea was to make his gibbering mouths give him the effect of a deeply moronic being, rather than appearing like slavering maws on a predator. That's why I gave him bad teeth, like a stereotypical yokel. I imagine his mouths also just repeatedly shouting something like "Blaaargh!", with the occasional philosphical musing or scientific tidbit.
