Thank you for your comment and for you advice! <3 I always appreciate constructive criticism I see what you mean to use more green. I'm inclined to either draw the same eye again or find something similar to draw to see how much I've progressed.

Aaaah thanks so much for your incredible comment! That is so amazing You're so positive. Ha most definitely yes! I just LOVE krita. It's free software and it's my favorite art program. I have a wacom tablet myself and it works perfectly fine. Enjoy your new tablet if you need any help or tips, just let me know!

Well first time in a very very long time! I usually like to use references photos but then I add a elements such as horns or other fantasy stuff. In that case I don't focus too much on the realism I think. Other references I may use example just for anatomy: use dog anatomy for dragon poses.

I'm trying to focus on sketching/proportion/anatomy and such things, so I try to spend less time on coloring --> which usually makes the realism. ^^

Nice of you to share you way of doing things It's quite interesting. Dog poses for dragon poses seems a really nice idea... Plus, you made me think that I could use... let's say a horse's pose, a dog's pose, a cat's pose and a bird's pose to make 4 very different dragons. It's kinda helping me a lot because I'm always wondering how to do different kind of dragon...

Yes that would definitely be possible! Although it might be very challenging to draw a dragon based upon a horse. You can also check out lizards and other reptiles to get inspiration for scales. Or check out deer, goats, buffalo's etc to get inspiration for horns. Or fish for fins. I dunno. Would be a fun contest: to draw a dragon based of a certain animal

The thing is, I am on DA to get inspired and make a few friends, but mainly to get inspired and draw art! :3 I don't want to spend too much time on responding to messages - DA is waaay to big for that. You'll always find new, interesting people and it won't end That's positive but also difficult. Not sure why I'm telling you this.. there's not really a message inside, it's just what I think of DA. It can completely overwhelm you if you're not careful. I try not to

Thanks so much! The thing is, i could still continue to work on it and make it more detailed (but then I would have been more precise from the beginning - eg the small scales above the eye could be bigger and more detailed). But I worked long enough on this one
