please ignore the weird shading. I still don't know how to shade well under water, and this was a quick piece anyway. oh and before i forget, the bubble brushes are from [link]done for the 100 theme challenge. Ariel is questioning why the heck her butt is so darn big! sorry, but that has always bugged me. i dont really know why everyone loves ariel so much. i mean, she's fine and all but she's not my favorite. that award goes to mulan or belle. so....yeah...sorry for the ariel rant haha

Leave her alone and quit being mean, people! She HAPPENS to be my favorite Disney princess and has been since before I can remember. In fact, I have two pet rabbits--an English Broken and a Netherland Dwarf--and guess what? The small black one, who I got first, the Netherland Dwarf? She's named after Ariel. That's how much I love this girl and how awesome I think she is. And when I was younger, I distinctly remember having a crush on Prince Eric. In fact, me and my younger brother use to have like a hundred million imaginary friends that would always follow us around, and two of them were Disney characters--one was Genie, from "Aladdin," and the other one--who I came up with on my own, where as with Genie, we BOTH came up with it--was Eric. So BACK OFF and LEAVE THE GIRL ALONE. Some of us actually LIKE her, believe it or not.

whoooaaaa. No need to get offended so easily. Ariel is not everyone's favorite princess, and that is all I said. Settle down. I don't know what your problem is, but I believe you need to get a life and not yell at everyone who doesn't share the same interests as you.

There- someone actually agrees with me that Ariel had a big butt! Do you have any idea how many people I have to convince of this fact!? All you have to do is watch her as che sings "Part of Your World", and *boom!* there it is.
That certainly is not the only why I'm an Arielholic [and mer-phile] (since I was 6), but it's stunning how many people deny it...

Even as a 27yr hetero male, I am still far too nostalgic about Ariel to think of her as sexy; I just can't do it! (I saw it first in 1989 in theaters when I was 6, and it had a big impact on my life.)
A lot of people dislike her because she comes across as selfish and shallow in the movie- blindly sacrificing/risking everything she knows just on the off-chance a random guy will fall in love with her in three days.
I, on the other hand, approach TLM from another perspective- a fun and magical romp in another world different [and- yes- somehow familiar] to our own... the "magic" part being that there are mermaids, and that Ariel inspires in older viewers that very same wide-eyed wonder and curiosity.
(Do I think the risks she took to get a human were worth it? No- I like her better as a mermaid anyways.)

Yeah, I don't get why every girl I know is crazy about Ariel....:/ I've always had a problem with how she abandons her awesome life UNDER DA SEA for a guy who looks like a cartoon version of John Stamos!
