Description
Capture the experience of being there, the mood, your feelings, the place, the time, everything. I was backpaking, camped by this frozen lake high in Alberta's Northern Rockies. I hadn't seen anyone in four days. It was so beautiful.Related content

This is a truely incredible shot, probably my favourite of your work so far. Did you use the 16-35 II? As that sundial is literally perfection

Glad to see some new work. I visit your website frequently, but it's always fun seeing them on dA. The composition is just extremely good! The feel of being alone is well captured. I'm just amazed!!

This is probably one of the most beautiful landscapes I've ever seen. The line and clouds leading up to the sunrise make me feel so calm and right with the world.

I originally saw this one when you shared it on the PNWNP forums. One of my favorites, I love how the line in the snow leads your eye in this photo. Great work, I look forward to seeing more from you.

Stunning lighting here, perfect star shape with the sun. Just amazing! Do you ever shoot with ultra wides, 10mm?

16mm is generally referred to as 'ultra wide' on my full-frame 1Ds III camera, with over 100-degree field of view. I shoot with lenses as wide as 14mm.
