When it comes to cyborgs or mecha, so long as it looks cool, who cares how much it bends the laws of physics. It looks like its part of some kind of system, but since we only see the front ...
Her artificial arms look to be part of it, so its entirely possible its some kind of 'armor' that's currently in storage mode. It's also possible she is an android and its an external "extended power" system.
Regardless, it does look cool. Though a bit more detail showing WHAT that strange backpack like thing is would certainly help.

First of all, this looks amazing. i have a few ideas, maybe it could be some kind of life support system. or it could have to do with gravity reduction. maybe it could unfold into some kind of cannon or something. maybe its an extra brain that connects into her nervous system and has sensory equipment about it. maybe all of the above. LOOK AWESOME!!!

Hm, and here I thought the headpiece would, at will, morph and envelope the whole body ending up to be similar to the armour of The Baron ([link] also by Bluefley!) ... Similar to Bio Booster Armour Gyver or IronMan's armour... It would have to be gravity-null (not the same as anti-gravity), so it has no actual weight, unless the warrior in the image is much much tougher than we can guess... My 2 ducats
