Wow. How about "just for the hell of it"? Yes, it's a bad design according to the Laws of Physics, but he made it look good. Pablo Picasso's paintings were viwed and are still viewed as quite shitty to many people, but he still painted them and they are now still quite legendary. I see no problem here.
You have great talent and skill as an artist, but unfortunately, the close-minded attitude you portrayed here does not reflect well on your abilities.

It's pretty pointless if something looks good but doesn't fulfill fundamentals of design and logic, especially when it comes to something like concept art. If you see this character in a game or a movie, don't deny the fact that you won't be thinking "What the hell, how does she even fight in that? She won't even be able to see attackers coming from her sides or her back at all."
And like Marak said, everything Picasso did had a reason for his style of art. There is nothing new or innovative going on here. Yes, I'd agree this is amazingly well painted on the technical side and built on a very flawed idea.

What are you talking about Picasso's work for? Picasso's cubism is well planned and well thought out, and there is a point to them. All this is is just rendering over a half formed idea, an overworked first draft.
Of course I'm a repeat offender of cool over function, but this is just too much. There's some great stuff in Marc's gallery and just a little extra thought could've made this piece spectacular. All the design flaws here just distract and detract.
