Description
march 2008pencil on a4 sized paper
Study based on a 50' photograph ("Robert Bishop") by George Platt Lynes (hence the neat haircut!).
Originally drawn as study for a bigger picture where this would be an Angel figure, but sadly it's still not finished... as with a lot of my 'projects'.

wow! A great tonal range; really describes the structure of his abs and muscles, well done! ;D

I think you could pass without flagging it.
The torso looks really well defined, is that how it is in the photo?

thanks for the comment. The original photograph was a lot darker, esspecially at the bottom. I did 'enhance the contrast' in the drawing a bit in order to get/understand more of the body structure.

It looks a bit too enhanced, kind of as if he were a Barbie doll. You might want to lighten the base of the torso or darken the legs a bit.
Other than that it looks great, well done.

, of course you weren't too harsh, If I didn't want people to comment on the work I wouldn't have placed it here, so thanks
