Yeah Barry was in Resident Evil 1, RE2 as a non-canon cameo as a zombie, Resident Evil 3 with helicopter support for Jill, then there was a later game too I forget. Oh maybe they added him to RE5's merc mode.

I never played those games, I stopped before they changed Jill's face lol but that was just a coincidence but I am a huge Julia Voth fan
I wonder if they can make a co-op RE2 and 3 work, I wouldnt know how they would be able to do it since you barely see the other character though I like that idea of "co-op", where you're off doing your own thing and team up to exchange weapons or fight big bosses, but that just sounds like an MMO lol.

Not sure if I'd ever really like to go back to the RE5/6 way of co-op tbh, which is basically like Left 4 Dead. I'd prefer some sort of co-op that has you both existing on the same server, but not required to team up for missions.
Actually now that I think about it, that's sorta Resident Evil Outbreak for the PS2 (I think it was) and that was online if you had the PS2 Network adapter. I don't remember exactly but I remember joining servers with people and roaming the mansion in various scenarios, you never had to be together and follow each other like you do in Left 4 Dead or RE5/6, you just searched the house, did puzzles, solve stuff etc.
RE Outbreak would be awesome for a reboot, and a RE2 Outbreak would be brilliant, roaming around Raccoon City etc, that would be awesome

True! That's how the game was. Now i'm remembering about Outbreak and it's the ideal coop campaing mechanic for Resident Evil! It's for PS2. Damn I played this game for so few hours... 
I reeaally don't like how RE 4/5/6 way of gameplay is too. Too much shooter/run than horror/action/puzzle indeed. RE2 Remake recovered how I felt about the Resident Evil franchise in the early games.

Yeah, I didnt play RE4 and only like an hour of Leon's story, I hate underwater segments so I quit before the shark battle lol.
I never went online with the PS2 but I think it was all down to your internet connection and whether or not you had the additional ethernet adapter, I would've loved it myself for Outbreak and for MGS3's online. It should really be remade! RE4/5/6 puzzles were stupid, all you had to really do is mash the action button, it's much better when you have to find items, backtrack and find out where to place them and stuff lol.
It's such a fun series, I think RE was my first favourite series. Capcom almost made Dead Rising their main zombie franchise too, I'm glad they didnt.
