Gosh! This looks amazing!
I love how you seemingly united past and present together in picture.
The guy is standing on a utility pole, in middle of a city ruined by nuclear fire and gas. The mushroom cloud shows the viewer of what had happened and the gas mask wearing symbolize what the few who survived the tragedy are doing in their present. That's how I interpreted it.
Besides the use of black and white here I love the composition of your art piece.
