I love the intensity of this piece. You can really feel the creature flying at you! The slant really helps to convey a feeling of action.
Every detail is carefully put in, I don't see a single mistake! The sea has stunning detail and is shaded very well. You have captured the nature of the sea perfectly. I really like that very white part of the water where it is clearly visible that the sun is reflecting off of, it gives life to the piece.
I can easily imagine the ships rocking with the ocean. The sails of the farthest ship are beautifully shaded, I feel that you could of shaded the sails of the closest ship some more. The sails look sketchier than the rest of the piece (same with the clouds).
I feel that the top of the piece is too unused, maybe the addition of a very small sea bird or two could help lessen this feeling.
I clearly see that you really put some thought into the organization of this piece. Simply an excellent job!

Photo reference. The trick is getting the overall shape right. If you look at them closely, you'll see they're not as detailed as you think... the black areas have this effect. So you detail a little where is needed and.... voilΓ‘! Looks better than actually is! hahaha
