Description My personal project of a twin seater glider MGA-1T.
This is the first part of a bigger project which will be a whole collection of different GA aircrafts.
Everything from scratch to finish was made by me.
Made in Blender (truly awesome soft !!!!)
Hope ypu like it !

Simple question: How would it start or land with one wheel? Would it require stabilizers?

This sport requires some cooperation.
Before takeoff someone have to hold the tip of  the wing to straighten horisontaly whole glider .
Landing is quite simple to, but needs some practice to do it properly

Your work looks nice and good presentation but...

If you been asked to do it like that its ok,  aerodynamically is wrong for a glider, Maybe a better word is that it will have limitation in performance ! I fly full size glider my self anyway and i know few things !You got small wings and your tail is wrong : Read this

  • The placement on top of the vertical gives it more leverage, especially with a swept tail.
  • Depending on wing location, it stays in undisturbed flow in a stall. Note: This is really depending on the details, the HFB-320  had a forward swept wing and a T-tail, which made a deep stall possible (and in one case fatal).
  • By designing the junction with the vertical well, the T-tail has less interference drag. It also helps to reduce wave drag, especially when using a well designed Küchemann body (the round, long, spiky thing on the tail junction of a Tu-154) by stretching the structure lengthwise.
  • It can help to increase the effectiveness of the vertical tail by keeping the air on both sides of it separated. At the other end, the fuselage does this already, so moving the horizontal tail up does not hurt so much there. As a consequence, the tail can be built lower.
  • Looks good anyway as a concept, maybe for Rc model will be good idea because its a more racing glider !

Wow, thank you so much for such a detailed answer (I thought about T-tail verion and I think I will use it in one seat verion !
What type of glider do you fly ? I've ended primary glider flying training this summer
