Scene: Valley of darkness where two scorpion-like creatures battle on a steep cliff for survival.________________________________________ ____________________________
Objects: Cinema 4D- scorpion-like creatures, about 10 modeling hours
Terragen- mountianous terrain.
Photoshop- lighting, brushing, and 2d

*For everyone complaining about the size, you all can thank my computer b/c durring a larger render it ran out of memory so it stopped. :/

The render is alrite, just looks like some simple capsule with matrix extrude, duplicated and resized a couple times.
I think it could of been better without the bump material on it. The render is also a little rough around the edges, you should of feathered that in photoshop to make it blend in more. Text is nothing great, try to work on that as well.

Wow u obviously have no idea what you are talking about, the render first of all is no capsule... and not only a matrix extrude, sorry. No, it wasnt duplicated and resized, i took my time modeling each body part. Yea I know the render is rough, but thank my pc cuz it couldnt handle the size of the model. NOT MY FAULT. Thnx for all the opinions, but alteast know what you are talking about next time b4 jumping to conclusions.

I know what im talking about, and I know that it looks like all you did was make a capsule and add some matrix extrude to it. Maybe you did not do it like that, but if you did you could of saved yourself alot of time and get the same results. Adding a bump-map might of taking away from all the "details" you put into it. I think it might of been better off without the bump mapping actually. And just because you claim that your computer sucks doesnt mean that you cannot fix the render in photoshop. Don't get all high strung on me for giving you some criticism and my personal opinion. I can see that you can model but this model looks alot more poor compared to your other ones.

its a great image its just missing a lot in my opinion if you just add more details it could be better, because i think it lacks some sort of atmosphere, you are right there is brush 2d but thats not what im looking for im jus looking for, because the image that youve created is at a great start so far it looks great but its jus missing a few things,
i could be wrong but it's my taste in abstract

renders are great, look really realistic. the brushing and 2d is great..=]

overall it really flows, and the attitude of the piece is greatly felt.
