i don't know how to apply the lens correction filter though. no matter what i do, it doesn't nearly get the effect you get on you picture. can you tell me how you do it?
also, did you use different layers of the image for the colored borders?

the colored borders comes from lenscorrection=>chromatic aberration
just keep trying and experimenting, thats my best advice
