Scifi story idea I had about earths (brutal, qonquistadorish) colonization of Mars...I have alot of little sketches of human soldiers (right now Im thinkin of something along the line of "The European Empire") but this is the first real complete concept art I have made.
now thinkin of it; I should really have had some soldiers standin' by the tank, cause it is actually gargantual... ahwell

It sort of reminds me Β of the sand worms from the Dune series on some covers. Mostly cause of the way it sinks into the the sand/mars dust/rock/whatever.

yeah, human figures would help to give it scale, if only 1-2 of them, we usually associate the size of the subject based on what we recognize, here we see a minigun, so this actually looks a little bigger than a mars rover to me. the composition's angle says its car sized based off eye level. the recognizable early german tank style body says it's nomal tank sized with a really big gun.
