For me, the most interesting aspect of this painting is his head & face. The eyes are strange yet expressive, the ears & hair are hilarious, and the curled mustache is sublime (have one of those myself). Having said this, I think he would do well to sport a bushy forked beard to finish off the look - perhaps like this? [link]
