The colors depend on the light and the original colors,
then I adjusted the color balance in PS to make the grey background more blue.

Thanks for the advice! I use Photoshop a lot, but I learn as I work; it sure is good to receive tips from more experienced artists
would you mind letting me know how you do color adjustments? I usually place a "solid color" layer with the color I want, then I change the blending mode/opacity to whatever looks good and then mask the areas that I don't want to change.. looks like your method is better though.. If you're still reading, thank you very much for your time! greatly appreciated

Mostly I use adjustment layers, like color balance and curves,
and experiment with opacity and blending mode too.
