This eye-pleasing image pretty much brightened my day! The colors are so vivid and crisp that already this image is a winner but there is so much more. The depth of field is just perfect. You are not taken into the flower but rather you are gently welcomed. Instead of being swallowed by the petals we are teasingly invited just a peek. The drop on the flower is not what makes this shot for me, it just helps my eye get started, and then the petals continue the journey. The contrast of the flower and the beautiful background colors make this image so close to perfect it's scary!

Well I have a SLR camera and a macro lens for shots like these.
You'll need a tripod too. All the edits I do in Photoshop.

Oh, how much does it cost? I want to buy a macro lens for my new Canon EOS 450D, but I'm hesitating on how much money it would cost me.

Well, here in Germany it's about 340,- Euros when buying it new.
That's much money but really cheap for a macro lens with this image quality.
A Nikon or Canon Macro lens around 100mm costs about the double price.
