Background: Shortly after the Rise of the Empire, Leir Vis decided to join the Rebellion before the Empire could crush Badgen in it's iron grip. However, she didn't stay in any one unit for more then a month until she joined the ground assault sub-group of Escort Squadron, known as Strike Group Alpha. She joined the unit out of her ever strong emotional attachment to Nik. Since she can't be with Nik due to the Jedi code even though the Jedi Order is little more then a memory now, she wants to protect and serve him, any way she can. Her skill as a marksmen allowed her to rise through the ranks from Private to Captain in a matter of months, she is now Major Ti'g R'ess' second in command.
