Description
The C-86 Breacher was a heavy fighter designed by Sublight Products Corporation (Subpro) five years before the outbreak of the Clone Wars. Some of its elements would be copied in the later Clone Z-95 and the ARC-170 that were products of a merger between Incom Corporation and Subpro. This three engine craft was equipped with with two wing mounted laser cannons, an aft facing dual barrel laser turret and four ordinance launchers that could be loaded with a variety of torpedoes or rockets depending on the mission. A small number of these craft were used by the Jedi Order during the First Battle of Geonosis and would also see limited use by the GAR during the Clone Wars. With the formation of the Galactic Empire, the small number of Breachers that had been in the Republic Navy were sold of to planetary defense forces, but most of the production line ended up with pirates, bounty hunters and even the Rebel Alliance.
