It looks almost like a charcoal sketch, and that helps to give it such a strong sense of emotion. It really has a lot of feeling to it, and its what makes it more than just a picture.

Thank you a lot! It was done with a four second exposure, a flash in burst mode (8 bursts in four seconds, if I remember right), and by controlling the movement of the persons (moving through different phases with different speeds - and in slow motion). And then a very simple edit in photoshop to add to the 'rawness': a very high contrast curve. And that was it. With some planning before the shoot of course...

Thank you! I was struggling with how to get the raw feel to the image that I saw in my mind. Hopefully it comes across in some form.
