Beautiful little bird with so much character. Great shot! Do you have a tripod nearby or did you hand hold? I can't hold a camera still with a telephoto lens very well by hand once I put on the 500mm. I am such a weakling!

I do have a tripod that I got for Christmas but I haven't used it yet. Β I find animal photography easier without a tripod but I get a lot of unfocused pics as well! Thank you for your kind comment.

It's a good image, well caught with good lighting, but it could be a little sharper though. Also I feel the bird is composed too centralized, other than that great colour achieved an a nice depth of field
