Well, maybe they aren't technically original characters, but they certainly won't be anything close to their canon counterparts in my Neon Genesis Evangelion/Bio-booster Armor crossover story, Out of Control!

This is my first time trying to make a piece with this much complexity. Not only do the figures depart from my usual, 2-D flat pose, but I've tried to make a unique composite of several individual drawings. I'll say this now--I used a lot of reference pictures to make this drawing. Mari alone is a composite of at least three different characters! Mana required nearly the same amount to get the details of her plug-suit right. Mayumi was definetely the least complicated of the three--I used one reference pic and then modified the limb positions slightly.

This piece here is just the primary linework. I hope to have it inked and colored sometime soon. Here's hoping I've got that much time on my hands!
