Thanks! He's a darling
It's a 70-30 mix of cotton and cellulose, so it absorbs water and holds it as proper cotton paper, but then it starts to peel off and that's terrible. I've bought a 20- A3-sheet album of that and at first, I thought I was overworking it. But today I went perfectly light: not much water, gentle strokes, and it still peeled off (you can notice that around the eyes). I wish they made a smaller albums of purely cotton paper and charged more instead of this disappointment.

I'm afraid I can't return it now, as I bought it last June I could probably try dry on dry with it, maybe it would work.
When I started with watercolours, I painted a lot on pure cellulose and I do that still - cellulose doesn't absorb water and it allows to create spots and splashes that look great, but I know, I need to be careful with it. That Luthien pic is on pure cellulose paper (bought from the Flying Tiger, now that I thought of it ). But those wonderful wet-in-wet watercolour effects are impossible to achieve on cellulose. I always thought that it's like a bad dancer complaining about shoes, but the pure cotton paper does make a difference. What confused me, in this case, is that that paper felt like cotton, but didn't meet the standard. Will need to reconsider painting strategies with it.

Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to bother you with the details. I think I just took it as an excuse to complain some more Thanks for listening!
Flying tiger sells a lot of good stuff, actually.
