Thank you very much! I would love too! I have a training sword, so for now, I'm more working on my muscles to wield it with more precision! Than, in a near future I hope, I would love to learn more about HEMA!

That's really cool, I used to do swordfighting too, albeit only for a rather short time... it's a really fun and tough sport, and definitely worth the effort you need to put into it to become a decent fighter

I was with a reenactment group based in Vienna, they do 13th century military and a bit of civilian reenactment/living history. I learnt the basics of fighting with sword and shield there But back then I didn't stay in town over the summer holidays, so after a few months I had to quit the group (a pause of several months mid-training just would have been be too much). I later on got to know someone from a proper Viennese HEMA fencing-group, but I did only one session there because I didn't feel particularly welcome. But there's currently another group which is keen to establish itself here, so I was thinking about joining their trainings too

Are you with a group or do you train by yourself?

I did have a cool time back then, yes Where this feeling did come from exactly I don't really know. To me, the club made the impression of the members wanting to be among themselves, doing their thing and practicing for their own sake. They apparently didn't have an interest in attracting new members. Perhaps they prefer to stay "underground" and fear HEMA might become a trend or even "mainstream". Even if so, I don't blame them, it's the policy they chose to follow
Oh well then, keep your eyes and ears open! I have the feeling the HEMA scene is growing worldwide, so maybe you'll get lucky and someone close follows a similar interest as you (Also the fact that you practice by yourself gives me confidence for doing the same thing, it sure is valuable training)

Pas trop ! J'ai pas de voiture en fait. J'vais pas souvent visiter les deux bois parisiens (pourtant celui de vincennes est plutôt proche), puis ce sont pas vraiment des forêts... Il y a la forêt de Versailles que je pourrais faire aussi. J'sais pas si celle de Fontainebleau serait pas trop loin ? J'suis dans le 13ème haha
