Featured by AnnaKirstin in Daily Fractal Feature Special 11th July 2015"I think this lady is likely to be featured quite a lot - nearly every week she comes up with something I consider pretty outstanding during the month she has been a member here at dA. I definitely couldn't pass these two images by without including them in this feature, and one of the most enjoyable aspects about her artwork is her ability to mix and match so perfectly. The first one (I imagine to have been created in Frax-Pro) has been cleverly adapted to form an extremely striking tree against a watery sun and subtle gradient, all neatly framed with the addition of falling leaves perfectly matching the colour-scheme of the tree itself, then gently gathering together on the surface below the frame. The impact of this scene is wonderful"

Dear all,
This is Karen, Anna's daughter.
It is with great sadness that I have to inform you mum passed away on Tuesday 5th January at 9pm. She deteriorated very rapidly and we are all very shocked by what has happened. Before she went, she asked me to update you all, as she loved her time on this site and in her conversations with you. Mum was unable to interact with people in person for many years, due to poor health, and her time on this forum gave her the friendship and interest that she needed to live her life in a more fulfilled and less isolated way. For this I also want to thank you all!
In the final weeks of her life she was at utter peace that she was going to be with the Lord and so I try to celebrate the freedom she now has, without the limitations set by her physical body. This is difficult, as I miss her and my father grieves deeply for her too. Whilst contemplating my mum prayerfully and tearfully, the Lord gave me a p

Thank you for forwarding Anna's message, Marije - I'm very sorry to hear that. There are several great MB3D artists who don't post on the site anymore - I always worry that they , too have passed away, but hopefully they just moved on to other endeavours or are posting their work elsewhere instead - I don't really follow any other fractal art groups, except for Mandelbulb Maniacs.
Being 77 years old myself, I'd better get back to work on my latest deviation, so that I can post it before it's too late.....
