Your comments are well put childe. It sounds like the girl is searching with a map and no destination. In a sense, this is good because no matter where she ends up, it's always where she needs to be, for one reason or another. I've learned (through talks with my dear brother), that the Wizard of Oz, is sort of a template to life. One dreams and contemplates ideas and places that seem so far away and all it takes is one "bump on the head" to take us out of our reality and put us on the path to God knows where. The only thing we know is that we have to walk. Along that path we meet those who help and those who try to hinder, but all have a lesson to teach and learn; and all prepare us for the fact that in the end, we must do the deed alone...within ourselves. We don't have to be alone. We have to do the work alone because only we "truly" know what it is we carry inside of us. In the end, we're brought back to where we started...refreshed, renewed and enlightened. And then the journey begins...again. When you see the world through the eyes of a student, the world becomes your teacher. In school one doesn't learn different subjects for their own sake. Those subjects teach us how to think in different ways and how to apply our mind to most any variable we come across. Some things we do better than others...that's only natural. (Each according to their gifts.) But ultimately, they're conduits to a greater understanding. The art (of life) is finding where it (your gifts) applies. I believe that when you know this, the doors open, the walls come down and find yourself consumed with everything and everyone around you. The human element will always be there, but you learn to work with it because God knows you can't be without it.
