Well i've been practicing anatomy lately. Looking at tutorials and such...

unfortunately, almost every single freakin' tutorial on deviantart is anime, which means it won't help me much in my endeavour to make a simplistic cartoon feel...

that doesn't mean i'm going to throw out anatomy though. Thanks to StevenSanchez and his many VIDEO tutorials that mostly center on american super hero comic book style, i've taken a new look at anatomy. Otherwise i probably would have just thrown it away and made crazy little stylized doodles that look completely unrealistic XD

Anywho, because of Sanchez, i decided to try to come up with my own anatomy guidelines that will hopefully differenciate it from the generic anime or cartoon art on Deviantart (cartoon art is very much lacking though, so that part shouldn't be too hard )

Anywho, i'm not sure if this pic is anatomy for pre-teens or adults... still trying to figure out exactly what head-to-body ratio to use on adults... though, considering that cartoon style generally doesn't matter too much, i might stick with this as a full grown adult stance... but i'll figure that out later.

at any rate. i have a feeling i'm on to something here... Hopefully i can draw humans good enough that they can stand side by side with my other, more cartoony characters
