son en su mayoria efectos de blending mode de los layers, ademas de jugar con los colores, mas calidos al centro en este ejemplo

Hey Mario...
I think that is too much “shoryuken” for Ryu, remember he is the master of the “hadouken”. Ken, on the other side is the master of the “shoryuken” but he just can't throw a powerful “hadouken”... (am I making myself clear??? je je I don't think so)

Look... in less words.
Ken = Shoryuken
Ryu = Hadouken

And, of course, coming from you, this is an excellent take on Street Fighter's characters.

haha yeah, true, but that's exactly the reason why I drew Ryu like that, always Ken!!

best regards!

"How do you change the colors from step 4 to step 5?"

in PS simply using the hue-saturation window (ctr-u), here what i have in mind is to get the natural color of the material, think of it as a white light, greyish (black) shade exposure (in this case, a "yellow" skin color, ryu is japanese, right?!). the last step (6th) is to ad light using pure colors in multiply and overlay blending modes, though you could use the one thats suits best what you look for, all over the same layer, i don't add new layers for shades and lights, the pixel behavior is not the same when working in different layers, at least in PS CS3, so i copy all visible layers (ctr-alt-c) and keep working on it. this is VERY important to understand, working over the same pixels (same layer) will give you best results when working with blending modes when adding colors in shades or lights (see the violet, red or yellow colors over the lights AND shades?, that's what i mean in the main result).

Lovely work mate, really lovely. Fantastic process... although, I've always wondered... how do you get the outlines from Flash to Photoshop? Hah hah, do you just 'Save as Image' or is there something I'm still missing?

in flash i use the exportset the pixel/inches, then the resolution, for example 12 inches by 8 at 300dpi, 20 iches by 14 at 600 dpi, whatever your media needs
