Frankly, I'd never watched Big Bad Beetleborgs...Until some time ago, when I started to watch it on Netflix.

Honestly, the series isn't bad; it's funny and amusing. But if we compare it with its origin sources (Juukou Beetle-Fighter and Beetle-Fighter Kabuto), the series looks like a very WTF-ish thing. For starter, while the Beetle-Fighter series have more serious plots, more action, suspense, heroic and badass main heroes, and ruthless villains, in Beetleborgs, we have the premise of three kids becoming superheroes from a comic series, friendly monsters which look like if they came from Scooby-Doo (or Goosebumps, or Are You Affraid Of The Dark...?, or any Comedy-of-Monsters B-Movie), the action scenes have more slapstick than action (with no mention the onomatopoeias, making it look like Adam West's The Batman's Show or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure), and the henchmen of the main villains are dimwits who only want to be free in the world and cause disorders and mischievous stuff (while in B-Fighter, they wanted to use humans as guinea pigs and exterminate them).

Anyways, Beetleborgs became for me a guilty pleasure. Its things make the series so-bad-so-good. So, try to watch it of a more kind way in order to enjoy it.
